Our Accomplishments
- Expanded the association, since its founding in 2014, to a nationwide organization
- Member companies of all sizes working together on common interests solely at United States airports
- Built a partnership with Airlines for America (A4A) by jointly authored position papers to cities and airport authorities, collaborating on overreaching labor laws, and educating airport administrators about inefficient regulations
- Monitoring and commenting on Living Wage Ordinances so they do not contain special “carve-out” provisions
- Ensuring Railway Labor Act is under the jurisdiction of the National Mediation Board
- Involvement in legal opposition to mandate a Labor Peace Agreement under the LAWA Certified Service Providers License Agreement (CSPLA) and the petition to the US Supreme Court
- Forged a memorandum of understanding with the Airline Services Association (ASA) located in Switzerland
- Successfully advocated to amend airport permits/licenses proposed Labor Peace Agreements in PDX, SEA, BOS, FLL and MSY
- Defeated a proposed requirement for all SFO permit holders to obtain ISAGO certification
- Authored a training curriculum for Airport Emergency Response and Preparedness
- Successfully lobbied and advocated for Air Carrier Contract Worker Support (PSP1) in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, Act or CARES Act, the Airline Worker Support Extension (PSP2) in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 and for Air Transportation Payroll Support Extension (PSP3) in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021
- Successfully advocated to amend the LAWA CSPP ISAGO requirement
