The ASPA is a United States business association of airline service providers, whose objectives are to represent the airline service providers and to promote better relations amongst the members and airport authorities and other government agencies. 

our mission

The Purpose of the Association as a Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation:
  • Represent the common business interests of the corporation’s members
  • Advocate for better relations among the members and government agencies and authorities having jurisdiction over United States commercial airports
  • Balance the use and regulation of resources to ensure economic prosperity and environmental protection of the country
  • Foster the highest degree of safety, training, operational efficiency, business conditions and cooperation among the members and government agencies and authorities
  • Encourage the interchange of ideas, educate, and inform the community-at-large concerning issues of concern to the members
  • Provide a forum for the discussion, examination, and resolution of issues of concern to the members

What is an ASP?

Airline Service Provider (ASP) workers perform ground positions necessary for the safe and secure transportation of passengers and cargo by air. The traveling public usually does not distinguish ASP employees from air carrier employees​:
  • Air Cargo (security & handling)
  • Aircraft Appearance (exterior & interior)
  • Aircraft Maintenace
  • Aircraft Security (guard & security search)
  • Catering/Provisioning
  • Deicing
  • Into-plane Fueling
  • Lavatory & Potable Water
  • Operations & Load Planning
  • Passenger Service (passengers with disabilitities)
